Brick exposed

This is how we started. After multiple discouragements from people around we decided to check what’s underneath. First we took off the skirting and that looked promising, then we ripped off the rest. Very messy process, but I think it brings so much texture into a space, your eye wonders over the multiple colour variations and the light casts shadows on the brick during the day or night. It’s so much more than a wallpaper which tricks your eye but doesn’t bring the tactility which in natural environments is so prevalent.

Football slogan exposed during the ‘excavation’ we never expected to find something like that! Obviously we knew we are going to keep it though. It’s part of this house.

What we used to seal it with?
LAKELAND - M22 concrete sealer that provides a protective surface, completely organic and non toxic, odourless sealer.
